Drive for a Cure

Well, it surely is a hard job...............but it was for a good cause!!!!!!!!!!!!

What in the world?!?! This was so much fun! I drove a BMW and they donated towards Breast Cancer Research. What could be better than that!

I had so much fun, top down, then top up, windows down, then windows up! Radio, surely up........and my fave songs! Lovin' that ride! Now I've got a little bit of new car fever!!!

*Side note: All is well, my Mas is home, and life is good at the house!

Totally Missing Him...........

Ugh. Maybe I am too overprotective, maybe I am too over-dramatic, maybe I am just too much of a mother (is there such a thing??) but, regardless, I miss him.
Yes, his first trip away from home, no mom or dad to supervise, be there...just in case.
Not that I don't trust him. I totally trust him, but I know that "things happen" and that's what I don't trust.

And........duh! Why doesn't he call me? Is he too busy doing what Beta Club members do? Is he so busy with his friends? Wow! Do I sound like a jealous girlfriend or what?! Wow, that kid is gonna kill me before it is all over with!

I just love him, and I miss him. I miss him coming in to give me that "good morning hug" every morning, I miss his sweet spirit when he gets in my car in the afternoon. Yes, I miss him.

Can you tell? Thank goodness he will be home tomorrow! Yipee!

What were we thinking!

We got up this morning to a beautiful blanket of snow, with more snow just pouring down. It was beautiful. Really.

Then, I had the thought "what were we thinking!" I called Connie to ask her the same question............she assured me that it would surely be something we've never done before, and may not get to ever do again!

Off we went! They fired the gun with snow flurries in the air, and by about 3/4 mile, I was really thinking I must be crazy! Ralph and I hung together to get our breathing under control, and I finished pretty good! I was ok with just the fact that I was alive, and not on a stretcher being hauled off by an ambulance!

So, all 4 of us finished, with honors!

My cuz, Becca, flew in last night from AZ and she met us to run this morning! Great fun!
