Home Depot.......here we come........again!

Our new best friend! Scott said we are in a firing range, being hit hard by 20dollar bullets.

One here, one there...............and we are visiting Home Depot more than I ever dreamed I would in my lifetime.

Praise the Lord.

Packing up memories

Memories live here. We have had 10 years of wonderful here. We have also had quite a few heartaches here, too. As I am packing, I am also uncovering some of those. In my craftroom ---previously the nursery, and it was going to be Elijah's nursery. That day never came. I have had this sweet onesie hanging in this closet, as a gentle reminder of God's plan.......and the fact that we just can't understand.
It's nothing special, it's not a fabulous outfit or anything like that, but it is the one little thing that I have held on to, and it is my reminder of him, and the trials that God has brought us through, and the times that I needed HIM the most.
Wow, doesn't He always bring us full circle.....
Again, we are clinging to Him, and needing Him...in more reasons than we know.
So, for now, I will continue packing up the good times, and even the bad.............and I can't wait to see the memories that God has in store for us in the next 10 years....or maybe 20 or 30!

There is nothing sweeter than this! He made this and typed it himself, and his teacher said he could write anything that he wanted to say to us! It came in a pink envelope (a man after my heart!) and it had candy hearts glued to the outside with "mommy and daddy" handwritten on it! UGH! Just the sight of it nearly made me melt.
Then, I open, to read this! WHAT? Is he the sweetest little 1st grader you ever did meet??? I love my boys! That's for sure. And, just when life's stresses are really seeming like too much, well, here ya go!
A small reminder of why I do what I do! I love them........and they really do love me, too.

2 weeks?

Wow! Time does fly! 2 weeks since my last blog??

Well, so much has happened in 2 weeks. Mardi Gras parades, moving LOTS of boxes out, packing up, throwing away, Valentine's Day, and simply taking it all in.

Mason's basketball season is over. Wow, he did great! He's such a little cutie, and I love watching him enjoy this sport. His Daddy was the coach (first year coaching city league ball) and they won the championship! Woo-hoo! He's a good-looking head coach, I'll tell ya!

Chappy is almost done with basketball. He loves it, loves the Upward program, and loves having a good time (well, that is if Scott doesn't forget his game!)

Oh, and Valentine's Day! That Scotty, he is a good'en. He went to my very favorite store in the world, PINK, and bought 2 shirts, they are just PERFECT! He knew they would be (wink!)

Well, it's late, Chip is sacked out right here, Scott is laptoping right beside me, and I am trying to catch up on my ER. Thank goodness for TiVo!

God is Good....No doubt!

I am not sure if I can say it enough. April 25.2006, we began praying for this house. 101 Circle Drive. We began praying, and believing, that this was the house God had for us. We prayed that God would bless us with this house, and make it affordable for us. We prayed for the current owner, and prayed that God would open her mind, and give her clarity, and wisdom in making this decision (after all, her house was NOT for sale......we simply called and told her that we believed her house was where God wanted us to be!)

So, after much pondering and consideration, she agreed to sell the house, and agreed on a price that we never believed she would even consider! Isn't God good!

We then quickly listed our house with an agent (please, don't get me started!) and after our 6 month contract was up, we pulled it from the market, and listed it For Sale by Owner. All the time, having a peculiar feeling about this. God had put someone on our hearts, and we truly felt led to invite her to look at our home, for purchase.

After many dealings, we determined that it was not in God's plan for her to buy the house, we continued on our adventure of selling it.

May I interrupt my own thoughts, to say, many many times we bent our knees asking God for wisdom and clarity in all of this, and He continued to tell us to wait for Him. Wait for His guidance, and wait for His wisdom.

So, finally Scott decided that we should simply take a leap of faith (all the while, the homeowner is waiting on us to sell our house, and waiting very patiently!) and give the go ahead on her house, and knowing full well that God will send someone for our home.

Needless to say, 9 months TO THE DAY from our first prayer, the lady who I mentioned above, came to look at the house.......and we all agreed with MUCH peace........

She is going to RENT our house! WOW! Can you believe it!!!

We are moving!!! Seriously, moving!!! Closing is set for February 19th!!!!

God is good........and He is given us such peace and joy through all of this, not to mention bringing us closer to Him with each door opened!

Circle Drive....................wow! I can't wait!
