Memory Maker Photo Service at Walt Disney World
Another addition to Disney's MyMagic+ has arrived. Disney's Memory Maker replaces the Photopass+ that was introduced just over a year ago!
So....let's get the skinny on this new product:
What DOES it include:
It includes the Digital Download of allllll of your photos taken while you are at Walt Disney World.
(the ONLY exception to this, is that it has a 3 day window. So you *really* need to order it before you leave home!)
It includes your attraction photos (Splash Mountain, Expedition Everest, etc)
your dining photos (Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, etc)
and all of your Photopass Photographer photos during your Walt Disney World vacation.
How much is it:
$149.00
What does it NOT include:
This is the important thing to note:
It does NOT include a CD.
It DOES include the digital download, but if you want the CD, you will need to add that to your My Disney Experience account, as the CD add-on. ($9.95)
It does NOT include the photo gallery/stock images.
That will be an additional $30 charge.
So, if you want the CD, you will need to add that.
If you want the photo gallery/stock images, you will need to add those.
Otherwise, the $149 will just about cover all of your Disney Photopass needs.

Celebrating 14 years of Chapman
14 years ago today....my sweet little Chapman made our family complete.
I knew after we lost Elijah, that my heart couldn't take much more.
Through a very tender, sick, volatile, fragile pregnancy, many times, I prayed to God...if *you* think we are finished...then we can be finished...but please let this little guy make it!
And He did.
And this cute little personality-filled kid was a fighter, and wow! I'm glad he was!
Someone was telling me this morning at church "wow...he is just SO much like Scott"
and it hit me.
It all came rushing back.
The sweetest memory.
His Aunt Kendall used to talk to my belly, while I was on bedrest..and she would say "I hope you grow up to be as great as my little brother!"
She adored her little brother so much.
And just today, (I am not sure why I have blocked that memory from my mind!) but it all came back to me.
And 14 years later, I think she is on her way to getting her wish!
And I know she's still just as proud!
So....Chappy Birthday!!!

Meaningful Beauty testing!
So, I was chosen by Influenster to test the new Meaningful Beauty.
First off, let me start with this.
I have awful skin!
I am so very self conscience about it.
And so anytime I can try something new...I try it. After all, what can it hurt!
I must say...I love how this stuff feels on my face. I apply it first thing in the morning, after washing my face, and it feels so clean! And smooth.
Alot of reviews I read, said that they like it in the evening, but I truly love it in the morning. So, to each her own :)
Anyways, I won't yet do a before/after post...because I am only about a week or so in....but I do LOVE how it makes my face look.
And that says A LOT from me!

Can you look them in the eye?
I was in the waiting room of our Orthodontist's office Friday morning, and I watched a teenager frantically typing on her phone.
Her fingers were pressing so hard, and so quickly, I thought she might crack the phone in half.
Her mom was glancing over her shoulder.....NOT so inconspicuously.
And just as the frustrated media maven was slowing her roll, the mom grabbed her fingers, as if to catch her quick attention.
She said to her "Be careful before you post that. One day, you just might have to look her in the eye!"
The girl stopped.
Phone in the lap.
Silence for a minute.
I just wanted to reach over and give that mom a high five.
------------------------------
In an effort to live life to the fullest, I will admit, I am a Social Media junkie.
I love facebook for all of it's wonderful qualities.
I love connecting with my crazies on twitter, and I love the constant family photo album, and throwback thursdays that instagram can provide.
However---------
And I say it with almost a shout in my voice---
HOWEVER!!!!!
None of it is meant to be a blanket you can hide under, when you feel the urge to slam someone, and their character---in an open, public forum, as if you will never have to face them in public.
2013 wins the award, for being the year of Social Media mud-slinging.
And yet, it happened again.
The happenings of this weekend, with the Alabama (oh wait! We lost! We weren't even playing! And I am still a fan of MY team...and I don't give a flip-flop about the other teams!!!) SEC Championship game.
I was going to the game, regardless of who was playing, and so I knew going into it...I would be an Alabama fan, if we were on the field or not.
After all....they do receive hefty chunk of our family budget.
If you *know* me, you know I am always here to have a good time, or I won't be here at all.
I don't do rude (or atleast not intentionally).
I don't do mean-spirited.
I will have fun with it. Or I won't have it at all.
I am sorry that other people can't have a light-heart and spirit about things.
And I am sorry that people take a ball-game so seriously that they are totally ok with losing friendships over it.
That's a shame.
I was on a date / work weekend with my hubby and tons of friends...yet, the words rude, tacky, and no-class were tossed around in my honor.
And the problem with that, yeah, the visual image of those negative things you say....they never go away.
-------
So, in conclusion, take a mom's advice....be careful---ADULT---

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party- tips for beginners
(photo from Disney Parks Blog)
I am a HUGE fan of "don't reinvent the wheel" so when I saw this post on the Disney Parks Blog...I didn't dare try to re-configure my own...no...these are some GREAT tips!
In case you’re attending your first party this year, here are some tips on how you can make the merriest of the night!
It Requires a Separate Party Ticket
We get this question often, and yes, entry to the party requires a separate Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ticket (even if you’re visiting the park earlier in the day, the party requires a separate ticket). Here’s a tip – you may receive a discount on select party nights when you purchase tickets in advance. Buying tickets ahead of time is suggested, as some nights do sell out. Click here to learn more.
Your Party Ticket Allows Entry as Early as 4 p.m.
Get the biggest bang for your buck by using your party ticket to enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4 p.m. The holiday festivities don’t start until 7 p.m., so you could use this time to get through a few more attractions.
Grab a Special Event Map
The easiest way to ensure you don’t miss out on any of the holiday fun is to pick up a special event map on your way into the park. Special entertainment times, character greeting locations and more are listed there.
Wear “Glow With the Show” Ears
This year’s party entertainment will be enhanced for the first time with “Glow With the Show” ears. They’ll be used along with the Celebrate the Magic castle projection show and Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks. Ear hats can be purchased at locations throughout Magic Kingdom Park, or you can bring hats you previously purchased at other Disney Parks to wear – they will work.
Head to the Jingle Cruise
For the first time in park history, Jungle Cruise in Adventureland is undergoing a holiday transformation. Head to the attraction to see the skippers’ homemade holiday decor and hear their new seasonal jokes!
Meet Characters
Pick up an event map to keep tabs on special Disney character greeting opportunities throughout the park. And be on the lookout for Santa Claus in Town Square!
Don’t Forget the Free Cocoa & Cookies
Be sure to check out your event map for snack stations throughout the park that offer complimentary hot cocoa and cookies. Healthy options are available upon request.

Black Friday...it's all about to change
As much as it pains me to say it...I am not happy one bit about Black Friday this year.
A long standing tradition in my house.....
family Thanksgiving with all of the crazies, and as the gravy sits and forms a layer on the top, I lovingly engross myself in the newspaper of the day.
You know, the big, fat one, full of Black Friday ads.
The one that the mail carrier dreads delivering because of the new found bulk in her triceps early the next morning!
The ads full of bargains that no one really needs, but everyone MUST have because it is ONLY $3!!!
You know the ads that are so not cool.
Full of MAJOR price slashing...only to find that each store only had 4 of those $88 trampolines to begin with!
Yes...that's the day I love so much!!!
For years, Susie and I (and a few other friends thru the years) have a plan of attack.
After all of the littles are safe at home, full of turkey, and in the bed...we change into our warmest Christmas socks and we tip-toe out of the house, around 2am (the last year or two, it has been earlier year by year) and we head for the stores, and we are always amazed at the line that has already formed.
I don't know why it shocks us, when people are in their pajamas outside of Best Buy and it looks like they have been camping for weeks.
Their hair isn't washed.
Their remnants of fast-food shenanigans are everywhere.
Gross.
But, whatev.
So...this brings me to this year.
2013.
The year that stores (Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Toys R Us) have announced they will open at 6pm on THANKSGIVING DAY!
And so, I am sorry.
But I am breaking my own tradition, and I regret to force myself...but I will NOT be there when they open.
And quite honestly, I am shocked, in advance, at the number of people that will leave their families to go beat the doors down.
And, even more disappointed that all of these stores are making their employees leave THEIR families to go to work.
ON THANKSGIVING!
So sad about this.
And that this is where we are today.
In 2013.
So, I guess, in conclusion, my family will not get "doorbuster" gifts this year, instead, they will probably get something that I found one day while "browsing" on a standard business/shopping day.
And probably something much more meaningful.
But, as for me and my house...we will NOT shop on Thanksgiving.

Disney Magic re-launch, post-poned
News broke on Thursday, October 17th, that the first sailing of the "re-imagined" Disney Magic must be postponed.
Severe weather conditions, on the transfer back to Miami, Florida, prohibited the workers and crew, from finishing the details to make the ship "guest-ready".
The article in USA today states:
"Passengers on the canceled sailing will receive a full refund as well as reimbursement of airline change fees. In addition, passengers also are being offered a complimentary sailing on the Disney Magic between now and May, 2014. Alternately, passengers can choose a 35% discount on any future Disney cruise in the Bahamas or Caribbean, taken within two years and excluding holiday sail dates."
The new "re-launch" date is set for the October 25th sailing.

God has a firm grip...
It's 3:50am, and I can't sleep.
So, I get up, begin "piddling" on the computer, and I receive a healthy dose of Beth Moore in my inbox.
Her Siesta Scripture Memory Verse is in Isaiah this week, and although I feel sure that everyone that reads this passage, will receive a *different* word....
what I gathered from it today, just pounded on me, like a heavy book!
He has a FIRM grip on us.
And when the wind blows, and the storms of life get rough (and by storms of life, I mean vicious wicked people)....He says, let them go. I have a firm grip on YOU!
And you know, when my kids were little I would always tell them "don't worry about that other friend...let's just worry about YOU)
Funny, how my Heavenly Father is preaching the same word to me today.
Don't worry about them. They are mean.
Let us just sit here and worry about you. And take care of you.
So, I had to post her message here today, so I could look back and reflect on where I am today....
so that tomorrow (so-to-speak) I can remember....that even today, He had a firm grip.
Isaiah 41:8-16 The Message
8–10 “But you, Israel, are my servant.
You’re Jacob, my first choice,
descendants of my good friend Abraham.
I pulled you in from all over the world,
called you in from every dark corner of the earth,
Telling you, ‘You’re my servant, serving on my side.
I’ve picked you. I haven’t dropped you.’
Don’t panic. I’m with you.
There’s no need to fear for I’m your God.
I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you.
I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.
11–13 “Count on it: Everyone who had it in for you
will end up out in the cold—
real losers.
Those who worked against you
will end up empty-handed—
nothing to show for their lives.
When you go out looking for your old adversaries
you won’t find them—
Not a trace of your old enemies,
not even a memory.
That’s right. Because I, your GOD,
have a firm grip on you and I’m not letting go.
I’m telling you, ‘Don’t panic.
I’m right here to help you.’
14–16 “Do you feel like a lowly worm, Jacob?
Don’t be afraid.
Feel like a fragile insect, Israel?
I’ll help you.
I, GOD, want to reassure you.
The God who buys you back, The Holy of Israel.
I’m transforming you from worm to harrow,
from insect to iron.
As a sharp-toothed harrow you’ll smooth out the mountains,
turn those tough old hills into loamy soil.
You’ll open the rough ground to the weather,
to the blasts of sun and wind and rain.
But you’ll be confident and exuberant,
expansive in The Holy of Israel!

As soon as the Guest finishes one attraction, they can receive a return time for another. This service can be used in addition to Disney's FASTPASS Service and Disney FastPass+ service.
What will Disney Parks do if a Guest is concerned the Disability Access Service Card doesn't meet their needs?
Disney Parks have long recognized and accommodated Guests with varying needs and will continue to work individually with Guests with disabilities to provide assistance that is responsive to their unique circumstances. Guests should visit Guest Relations to discuss their individual needs.
Who will be eligible for a Disability Access Service Card?

Why is Disney Parks doing this?
Disney Parks is modifying the current Guest Assistance Card program so it can continue to serve the Guests who truly need it. The new program is designed to provide the special experience Guests have come to expect from Disney. Disney Parks also hopes it will help control abuse that was, unfortunately, widespread and growing at an alarming rate.
Does the Disability Access Service Cardholder have to be present to obtain a return time at an attraction?
No. Another member of the Disability Access Service Cardholder's travel party may obtain a return time but the Disability Access Service Cardholder must board the attraction with his or her party.
Where do Disability Access Service Cardholders go to receive return times?
At Walt Disney World® Resort, Guests will go to the attraction to receive a return time.
Does a Disability Access Service Cardholder have to ride the attraction at the exact return time listed?
No. Return times are valid until redeemed by the Disability Access Service Cardholder.

A Disability Access Service Card is valid for up to 14 days depending on a Guest's ticket entitlement.
Is a Disability Access Service Card issued at one Disney theme park valid at other Disney theme parks?
Yes, the card will be valid throughout the resort at which it was issued.
Why doesn't Disney Parks ask for proof of disability, such as a doctor's note?
Disney Parks takes Guests at their word and there are legal restrictions around asking for proof.
Is this the only service available to Guests with disabilities?
Disney Parks offer a variety of services to Guests with disabilities, such as Disney's Handheld Device that offers assistive listening, captioning and audio description. Additionally, Disney Parks has developed a "Guide for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities." This serves as a tool on how best to experience its theme parks and is expected to be available online by mid-October.
Disney Parks will continue to provide excellent guest service and accessible experiences. Guests should visit Guest Relations at any park should they feel they need assistance due to a disability.
Does a Guest whose disability is based on the necessity to use a wheelchair or scooter need a Disability Access Service Card?
No, a Guest whose disability is based on the necessity to use a wheelchair or scooter does not need a Disability Access Service Card. Depending on the attraction, the Guest will either wait in the standard queue or receive a return time at the attraction based on the current wait time. Guests with additional needs should discuss them with Guest Relations.
Will Disney Parks continue to provide a service to wish-granting organizations?
The change will not affect those who are visiting on trips organized by wish granting organizations. There is a separate program for children with life-threatening illnesses.

Changes coming to Disney Dining's Cancellation Policy
(Mama Melrose's Italiano in Hollywood Studios)
Many of the Table Service restaurants at Walt Disney World already have the 24 hour cancellation policy in place.
If you do NOT cancel your reservation, 1 day in advance, you will pay a $10 per person penalty, for each reservation, that is not cancelled.
However, some of the Table Service Meals, such as locations like Mama Melrose's, or Kona Cafe, do NOT currently have a cancellation policy in place.
Well, that's all about to change.
October 31,2013 - Walt Disney World will now have a 24 hour cancellation policy for ALL Table Service and Signature Dining locations.
(the policy for Signature dining experience remains the same: full payment is due in full at the time of the reservation if you are NOT on the dining plan, and even if you ARE on the dining plan, a no-show will result in the FULL price of the dining experience to be applied to the credit card you have on file)
Beginning on October 31, with this new change, all Table Service meals will have atleast a $10 per person cancellation fee for all no-show reservations.
This is much in hopes to eliminate lots and lots of guests making multiple reservations each day, and failing to cancel them.
If you wish to avoid this penalty, you may call 1.407.WDW.CNCL to cancel your dining reservation at any time.
Or of course, if you have booked your Walt Disney World vacation with me..well, then I am happy to handle that for you :)

Disney's Frozen Movie Trailer
In Theaters November 27,2013
Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind "Tangled" and "Wreck-It Ralph," presents "Frozen," a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff)
and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina
Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in
eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls
and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the
elements in a race to save the kingdom.
The film is directed by Chris Buck ("Tarzan," "Surf's Up") and Jennifer Lee (screenwriter, "Wreck-It Ralph"), and produced by Peter Del Vecho ("Winnie the Pooh," "The Princess and the Frog"). Sprite Cranberry, be still my heart!
Fresh off of the assembly line, I was so excited when this showed up at my house!
Sprite with Cranberry....and I will just say, this is a home run from Coca Cola!
I absolutely cannot wait until this hits the shelves in my local grocery stores!
I believe it is slated as a limited edition Holiday Flavor, but I truly hope that the powers that be will hear my voice, loud and clear...because I love it!
I am already dreaming of a few fun holiday party recipes!!!

Princess Fairytale Hall opens September 18,2013
Take a look into the Imagineering behind Princess Fairytale Hall in New Fantasyland at Walt Disney World.
I absolutely love the attention to the tiniest of details, and I am not sure why it even surprises me that so much detail has been put into everything, including the bookends!
What a fabulous experience this will be as guests are treated to an encounter with the charming Cinderella, or the adorable Rapunzel.
I just can't wait to visit this spot...only a few more days :)

2013 Candlelight Processional at Walt Disney World
Christmas at Walt Disney World is one of my most favorite times of year!
Full of lights, and sounds and smells of Christmas, makes my happy place, even more happier!
I just love it.
And the Candlelight processional is just one more event that takes place, that I just can't get enough of.
When the sound of the choir takes over the World Showcase, it makes me stop in my tracks.
Even if we don't have a seat for that night, we will stand in the back, and watch. And almost always, in silence, with all of the other guests as they watch in amazement as well.
It's a reverent time. It's a peaceful time. It's a joyous time!
And I love it.
2013 has a fabulous line-up of Celebrity Narrators, incuding Trace Adkins, Whoopi Goldberg and Neil Patrick Harris.
If you have the opportunity, do NOT miss this event!

New Rapid Fill Resort Mugs at Walt Disney World
As we speak, the new Rapid Fill refillable mug system is making it's mark at Walt Disney World resorts, one resort at a time.
The new refillable mug stations at the resorts are in transition to the new Rapid Fill system. This system allows guests to purchase a specific number of days of refills.
The RFID chips embedded in the mugs will only allow usage of the fountains for only the purchased number of days.
At the end of the purchased period, the mug will deactivate itself.
Regardless of where it was originally purchased, the new mugs, with the Rapid Fill chip, will be able to be used at any Walt Disney World resort quick service fountain.
The Rapid Fill will use a tiered pricing structure.
Each pricing is counted on a calendar day scale...NOT a 24 hour period.
The days will use Eastern time, and when the clock strikes midnight, a new day begins.
The tiered pricing structure is as follows:
$8.99 for 1 day
$11.99 for 2 days
$14.99 for 3 days
$17.99 for length of stay
Just like the original refillable resort mug, this Rapid Fill mugWILL be included in some of the Disney Dining Plans.
However, keep in mind, with this new chip embedded in the drink fountains, mugs from a previous trip/purchase will NOT be usable. The fountains will NOT activate without the Rapid Fill ID chip.
At the beginning of August, the Walt Disney World resorts began the transition. So, although they may not all be using the Rapid Fill system just yet, it should be in place by the end of the month.
The mugs come in a range of colors: yellow, teal, purple, pink, green, black and orange.
At this time, they are not resort specific, and will all feature the Fab 5 at the Disney Pool Scene (a mug that has been previously featured at the resorts and water parks)

Be careful...
When I was a little girl, I used to love to help my grandmother cook in the kitchen.
I loved that feeling of independence, and being so much bigger than I truly was.
And she used to always tell me "Be careful, stirring that pot, you are gonna get burned"
----
And as the years have passed by, I have learned that this lesson means way more in the real world than it does in the kitchen.
If you don't "stir the pot", there's better chance of not being burned.

The Bachelorette Finale
An island theme party was underway, the rose was on the counter in anticipation.
The girls gathered with faces of confusion and distress for Des.
The guys had this "what in the world was Brooks thinking when he left the hot chick"
And when the show came on, there was silence in the place!
To quote my friend Scott Wood "When the Superbowl is on, it's time to watch the game!"
We cried, we laughed, we made predictions.
But in the end, she chose Chris, and personally, I couldn't be any happier with the outcome of this one!
I made this little recap using the Story app. Give it a try, if you haven't already!

A month full of reasons...
You know the old saying "use it or lose it"
Well...I think that totally applies in marriage.
Well, maybe we shouldn't "use" each other, but we should absolutely make an effort to keep it from rusting!!
Lots of little things happen in our home, lots of "I love you" and plenty of little gestures to help the other one out, but sometimes, we are just in "survival" mode.
So...I noticed the other day, a lot of my friends patting themselves on the back for a job well done on sticking with it for Photo-A-Day on Instagram.
And I thought to myself, "self...(that's what I call myself)...maybe you should try that...to be intentional"
And so...this was born.
A month full if reasons why I love him!
I plan to keep this on my camera roll, or maybe even as my wallpaper---and send him a daily text.
To let him know just one little reason that I love him. And I'm thankful. Every day!
So, if you wanna try too, feel free to snap the pic...and play along!
(And make sure to let me know...so we can keep each other accountable)
Enjoy!

Let's talk about how this is going to work!
Old FASTPASS System:
When you have a FASTPASS in your possession (ex: 3:15pm), you wait all day, and then return to the ride, only to find that it is now "closed for enhancement" or something magical like that:)
Your mind immediately ques "Holiday Road", and you wonder for just a moment what they would do if you went Clark Griswold on them!
Not any more my friends :)
With the new FASTPASS+ system, you will automatically receive a notification via My Disney Experience. The existing FASTPASS+ will be expired, and you will have 2 options:
Option 1: (and these options may be determined by the time of day in which the attraction closed)
If the attraction closes early in the day, you will be offered a new FASTPASS+ opportunity, for the original attraction, later in the day when it reopens.
OR---
You may select from an alternate listing of 8 FASTPASS+ attractions at that same park, on that same day.
Option 2:
If the attraction closes later in the day, you will be offered the opportunity to choose ANY FASTPASS+ attraction at any of the 4 Walt Disney World theme parks, on the next day.
Note: You will be notified of the FASTPASS+ attraction closure via My Disney Experience.
It is very important to have access to this during your visit, while inside the parks, via your smart phone, ipad, etc
It is also important to remember to turn those "push notifications" on.
Remember: MyMagic+ is still in the testing phase, and has not been released "live" to all guests. The expected release for MyMagic+ is Fall 2013.
FASTPASS+ is just one feature of MyMagic+ and is a fabulous addition to your Walt Disney World Theme Park experience!
We will be featuring more updates as we have them. All updates can be found here: MyMagic+ info

My Magic+ bands are INCREDIBLE :)
(photo creds to my sweet friend Erin)
I am already very excited about My Magic+, the enhancement to your Disney Vacation, coming Fall 2013.
And then, they go and do this!
So dang cute!
When you login to your My Disney Experience app, and link your resort reservation, you will be able to choose your Magic Band. You can choose different colors for each family member.
Then, you confirm your mailing address, and in true Disney fashion, this little beauty will show up at your door, in this cute tidy little box, just for you!
Yes, indeed...I think it's incredible!!!
I can't wait for this to be in full swing, as the My Magic+ is still in the final test phases now at Walt Disney World.

Disney's Planes landing in a theater near you August 9th #DisneysPlanes
It's always fun when Disney teams up with Pixar, and this time will be no exception.
Disney's Planes will be landing in a theater near you on August 9th.
The Red Carpet Premiere is set for August 4th-6th, and that will be a fun time, you can be certain!
I am super excited about this movie and even my teenage kids are too!
I think this clip might be my fave:
Planes: “Dusty Meets El Chupacabra”
“ | From high above the world of
"Cars," flies "Planes," Disney's upcoming animated action-packed comedic
adventure starring Dusty, a big-hearted, fast-flying crop duster who
dreams of competing in the most exhilarating around-the-world air race
in history. There's only a couple of not-so-small problems - Dusty is
not exactly built for racing and he also happens to be afraid of
heights.
Despite his fear and with encouragement from his mentor, a naval
aviator named Skipper, Dusty narrowly qualifies for the big competition.
Dusty's sportsmanship and speed begin to rattle the defending champ of
the race circuit, Ripslinger, who will stop at nothing to see Dusty
fail.
When disaster strikes during the climax of the final race, Dusty's courage is put to the ultimate test. With the support of friends old and new, Dusty reaches heights he never dreamed possible and in the process, gives a spellbound world the inspiration to soar. |

Travel tip: earrings
I pinned this the other day, but I couldn't resist blogging it too! Hopefully I'm not the only one with this problem.
Love this travel tip: keep small delicate earrings together. Put them in a button. Together. Todd them in your jewelry bag, and tada! They don't fall into those pesky little corners of the bag :)

Our California Adventure
Just a little glimpse into the fun day we had, acting like kids, playing in the parks, just us, no plan, no agenda!
Just having a fun day, doing a little bit of everything at Disney California Adventure Park.
I made this little treasure with Story, a new photo app from Disney.
The app collects your events, and puts them in a timeline, then you can edit them as you wish, or just hit play and re-live those memories!
There are no rules with the app, after all, it is YOUR story to tell! I hope you enjoy ours :)

Graduation Cupcakes, anyone?
Yeah, I made these.
(insert brag and pat-on-the-back)
Ok, well, what I did was I made the cupcakes (and although you can't tell, those are cute little graduation cupcake papers)
And then Scott's super fabulous Aunt Gail iced them for me, with her magic touch!
She even added a little Icing Glitter to them. So cute!
So, how did I make the toppers?
So very easy:
Making the photo topper:
I used Avery Design Pro, and I designed a "round label" (I inserted the image, and scaled it to fit the label. And that was it. That easy!)
Then I printed it on cardstock (not the label paper)
Making the colored backing:
Then...I used one of my MANY scrapbooking punches (thank goodness I am a hoarder)
I cut it with a circle punch. You can use anyone, but this one works good.
Next, I cut larger punches with his school colors (black and gold)
I use this one in the Scallop.
We were having fondue at the party, so I took some of the long skewers and broke them in half, and used them for the sticks (you couldn't see the rough edges because they were sandwiched into the toppers)
But, you could be proper and use real sticks (like the ones for cake pops)
Put them together:
And so I put the colored paper, then glued the stick. Then glued the picture on top of that!
Ta da!
So cute!
